This running club has no rules, as you can probably tell by the name alone. You don't have to be a girl and you don't have to be fat, you just need to have the desire to run or to learn how to do so more efficiently. Dulcy Booth, club leader, has experienced the intimidation of running in such an elite community and has even been told that she couldn't participate in some clubs because her mile time was not fast enough. No more rejections, everyone is welcome, no matter what their fitness level, material their clothes are made out of or what they decide to put or not put on their feet. You can walk, wog, jog or run and then meet back at in-step for the best reward of all after a nice workout...chocolate! Colder months will have indoor workout options.
The In-Step Master's Running Team, Real Women Real Fast, is open for all master women regardless of ability. Please join us, even if you are currently associated with another running group or sponsor. There is no commitment to show up, to wear our uniform, or to race. The purpose of our group is to unite women master runners in the community and to offer training, support, and friendship. Opportunities will be available for competitive masters women to compete as a USATF recognized team in jamor competitions. Again, these competitions are not a requirement of membership. The only membership requirement is to have a desire to run. Best of all it's free to join! If you are interested in more information on the group, you can contact Deb Conley at deborahconley19@gmail.com or cell phone 303-696-9850 or Noelle Green by email at noelle.green@comcast.net or phone 303-263-5834.
